Dr. Michael Baldwin

Saved at the age of eight, and called to preach shortly thereafter, Michael Baldwin, grew up in a family that was immersed in the work of God.

He graduated from the Fairfax Baptist Temple Academy with spiritual and national academic honors. In his younger years he began to develop his preaching and public speaking skills. In high school, he won first place for three consecutive years in the American Association of Christian Schools National preaching competition at Bob Jones University.

At the age of fifteen God miraculously gifted him with the ability to play the piano in just a few weeks. As a teenager, he accepted the responsibility of directing the Crossroads Baptist Church Choir in Bailey's Crossroads, Virginia. Three years later, he enrolled at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN to begin undergraduate training in Bible and music. He completed graduate work in composition at the University of Tennessee and George Mason University. In May of 2005, the degree of Doctor of Divinity was conferred upon him by Tennessee Temple University.

In January of 1994, he joined the Crossroads Baptist Church ministerial staff to serve under his father, Dr. Louis C. Baldwin. He continues there in the capacity of Assistant Pastor, Minister of Music and Singles Director. His primary responsibility is that of Executive Director of the Conference on Evangelizing Black America (COEBA).

Dr. Baldwin has traveled throughout the country and internationally representing the COEBA movement. He is a regular speaker in conferences and lecture series. As a passionate preacher, accomplished musician, author and administrator he has aided hundreds of pastors, educators and Christian workers in their service for God.

Michael and his wife, Lora, were married on April 29, 1994, and have two children, Cameron and Casalyn. They currently reside in Falls Church, VA.
